An annotated version of The Case for UFOs by Morris Jessup.
In 1957, Morris Jessup was told by two Navy officers that a man who called himself Carlos Allende had extensively annotated Jessup’s book The Case for UFOs with weird commentary about time travel, electromagnetic forces and teleporting battleships. This would be merely weird. But Office of Naval Research took things much further, going the trouble of re-printing this annotated version. They even used multi-colored inks to match the pens used in the handwritten notes. This book — printed by the Varo Manufacturing Company of Garland, Texas — is known as the infamous Varo Edition.
A transcription of the Varo edition of The Case for UFOs with Allende’s notes and marginalia is available for download.
