The I Am Activity of the Saint Germain foundation, which began what is known today as the I Am movement, is a new religious movement started by Guy Ballard in 1930.
I AM had distinctly fascist connections: in addition to their appeal to the superior wisdom of the Great White Brotherhood, the membership of I AM overlapped with American Nazi William Dudley Pelley’s Silver Shirts in the 1930’s.
Although I AM is much smaller than in the past, the org is still in operation. For example the I AM COME! pageant — centered on the life of Jesus Christ — was started in 1950 and continues to be presented annually at the G. W. Ballard Amphitheater near Mount Shasta, California.
The original I AM movement should not be confused with other associated New age I AM Foundation groups and organizations which have come into existence in more recent years.
