Described as a highly intelligent but nonetheless mentally ill itinerant.
Claimed to be a witness to the so-called Philadelphia Experiment.
Correspondent of Morris Jessup, writing to him about the horrible experiment, and suggesting that UFOs were using the same forces. Eventually, Jessup dismissed him as a crank.
But in 1957, he was told (by two Navy officers) that Allende had extensively annotated Jessup’s book The Case for UFOs with weird commentary about time travel, electromagnetic forces and moving ships around. The Office of Naval Research even took the trouble to re-print this annotated version, which is known as the infamous Varo Edition.

After this revelation, Jessup feared that there was something to what Allende had told him. Jessup also said he was plagued by what he called strange coincidences.”Two years later, Jessup would be found asphixiated in his car, an apparent suicide.

The nearly legendary annotated edition with notes inscribed by Carlos Allende (Carl Allen) was printed for the Naval Research Office in an edition of 200 by the Varo Manufacturing Company of Garland, Texas.

The Yellow Book is reported to be a physical record of the communications from an extraterrestrial, who was recovered from a downed UFO and kept in custody by MJ-12, before he died several years later. This extraterrestrial was called EBE-1. A second extraterrestrial is reported to be currently in custody under MJ-12, and she is called EBE-2, but some call her Charlene. She is the actual”author of the Yellow Book.
The Yellow Book is reported to be a sort of holographic compact disk, which — like R2d2 — can project images of the information it contains. It is alleged to contain a record of Biblical events, including the crucifixion of Christ. One of the predictions in the Book is that there will be a rift in human society as a result of ET contact becoming publicly known in 1997. Another more specific prediction is that ETs would return in a formal landing on April 24, 1997 in the Southwestern United States, probably in the vicinity of White Sands, New Mexico.
If these events occurred, they were covered up with exceptional skill.

Yellow Book is, oddly enough, the name of the standard for conventional audio CDs. To date, no one has cracked the secret holograpahic properties of this standard.

William L Moore
Bill Moore is a well-known UFOlogist. Prominent in the 1980’s, he co-authored several books with Berlitz Charles, including The Roswell Incident — the first book written about the "Roswell" UFO crash/retrieval.
Bill Moore was a central figure in the release of the controversial Majestic 12 documents.
He is sometimes credited with first describing (or inventing) the aviary disinformation group.
Bill Moore admitted in 1989 at the Mutual UFO Network that along with USAF John Dotty he “played a part in haveing Paul Bennewitz involuntarily committed to the New Mexico State Hospital on three seperate occasions.”

William Milton Cooper
aka: Will Cooper, Milton Cooper
Author of Behold a Pale Horse (1991), a popular superconspiracy.
He claimed to have all the inside info on the government UFO cover-up including the four types of aliens, the American treaty of 1964, and the secret base on the dark”side of the moon. In later years, Cooper recanted his UFO-oriented beliefs, asserting that they were in fact part of the Illuminati plot to subjugate the United States.
Cooper was influential upon the theories of John Lear.

In our last issue we had a short item about William Cooper, a former ufologist who now hosts a pro-Militia right-wing radio program on the World wide Christian Radio Network. Recently we phoned him, to get his opinion on the Oklahoma City bombing. Predictably, he said it was intended to “demonize patriotism” and was probably perpetrated by someone in the Government itself. Cooper edits an irregularly-published newspaper called “Veritas” (”Truth” in Latin). The paper is available from P.O. Box 3390, St. Johns, Arizona 85936. Cooper told us on the phone, “I’m so fed up that I’d like to leave this planet and go to Planet X with a real live alien, and open up a bar there!”
William Cooper was shot to death by the Apache County Sheriff’s Department during a raid on his Arizona home on November 5, 2001.

Coincidentally, "Microsoft" was founded in the year after Illuminatus! was published. A few years later they moved to Washington State.
